Dynamical solution to the μ problem at TeV scale
نویسنده
چکیده
We introduce a new confining force (μ-color) at TeV scale to dynamically generate a supersymmetry preserving mass scale which would replace the μ parameter in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). We discuss the Higgs phenomenology and also the pattern of soft supersymmetry breaking parameters allowing the correct electroweak symmetry breaking within the μ-color model, which have quite distinctive features from the MSSM and also from other generalizations of the MSSM. The μ and soft masses from the intermediate scale brane with non-factorizable geometry
The proton decay problem and the negative brane tension problem in the original Randall-Sundrum model can be resolved by interpreting the Planck scale brane as the visible sector brane. The hierarchy problem is resolved with supersymmetry, and the TeV scales for soft masses and μ in supersymmetric models are generated by the physics at the intermediate scale (∼ 1011−13 GeV) brane. 11.25.Mj, 12....
متن کاملDynamical determination of the Supersymmetric Higgs mass
Considering the supersymmetric Higgs mass (μ-parameter) as a dynamical variable to be determined by minimizing the energy, we predict its value as a function of the soft masses of the potential. We find that μ has a nonzero value close to the weak scale. This scenario offers a simultaneous solution to the doublet-triplet splitting problem and to the μ-problem. We discuss its viability in theori...
متن کاملA Simple Model of Low-scale Direct Gauge Mediation
We construct a calculable model of low-energy direct gauge mediation making use of the metastable supersymmetry breaking vacua recently discovered by Intriligator, Seiberg and Shih. The standard model gauge group is a subgroup of the global symmetries of the SUSY breaking sector and messengers play an essential role in dynamical SUSY breaking: they are composites of a confining gauge theory, an...
متن کاملMirror fermions and the hierarchy problem
The introduction of strongly-interacting mirror fermions with masses between the weak scale and 1 TeV could offer a viable alternative to the Higgs mechanism. The framework provided solves the hierarchy problem naturally and predicts a rich phenomenology for present and future experiments. Even though present electroweak precision measurements are more or less consistent with the standard-model...
متن کاملDynamical Solution to Supersymmetric CP Problem with Vanishing B Parameter
The CP violation gives rise to severe restriction of soft breaking terms in supersymmetric standard models. Among them, constraints on the holomorphic soft mass of Higgs doublets (the B parameter) are difficult to satisfy due to the other inherent problem in the Higgs potential; the μ problem. In this letter, it is argued that these CP and μ problems can be rather relaxed provided that B is van...
